Is Snaps affiliated with Apple, Google or Microsoft?

No. We read public store listings. Store names are trademarks of their owners.

Can I use the screenshots in my own product or marketing?

They belong to their developers, so check with them. Snaps is for reference and inspiration. It does not grant any licence.

Why is an app missing?

It has not been added yet. Request it.

Why is a screenshot filed under the wrong device?

The App Store labels devices, but Google Play does not, so Android screenshots are classified by aspect ratio. Some will be wrong. See Devices and stores.

How fresh are the screenshots?

Every app is fetched again once a week. A new store release can take up to a week to appear.

Can I search by what is in the screenshot, like “paywall”?

Not yet. Search matches app names and categories. Pattern and element tags are planned.

Which sign-in methods are supported?

Google only.

I lost my API key.

Keys are shown once and cannot be recovered. Revoke it and create a new one. See API keys.

Which MCP clients work?

Any client that supports remote streamable HTTP servers with a custom header, or that can run the mcp-remote bridge. Snippets are in MCP: installation.

Is there a REST API?

No. The MCP server is the only programmatic interface.
