Introduction
Snaps is a free library of real App Store and Google Play screenshots, with collections and an MCP server for AI agents.
Snaps is a library of real screenshots taken from the App Store, Google Play and the Microsoft Store. You browse it the way you would browse a design reference site: by platform, by app, or as a wall of screens. You can save screens into collections, ask for apps we are missing, and let an AI agent search the same library through an MCP server.
It covers iPhone, iPad, Android phone, Android tablet, Mac and Windows.
What you can do
- Browse apps and screens per platform: iOS, Android or Desktop. See Browsing.
- Filter by device and read where each image comes from. See Devices and stores.
- Save screens into named boards and share them. See Collections.
- Ask for an app that is not in the library yet. See Request an app.
- See every Open Graph image a website has used over the years. See OG history.
- Query the library from Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client. See API keys and MCP installation.
What it is not
- Not affiliated with Apple, Google or Microsoft. App Store, Google Play and Microsoft Store are their trademarks. We read public store listings only.
- Not the owner of the screenshots. Every screenshot belongs to the developer who published it. We keep a copy for reference and link back to the store listing. If you are a developer and want an app removed, see the takedown policy.
- Not a design tool. There is no editing, no mockup export and no Figma plugin. You can view, copy, download and save screens.
- Not a live view of the stores. Screenshots are captured on a schedule, so what you see can lag a store listing by up to a week. See refresh cadence.
- Not tagged by UI pattern yet. Search matches app names and categories today. Pattern and element tags (onboarding, paywall, tab bar) are planned.
Where to start
Open https://snaps.design and pick a platform tab. To connect an agent, create a key on the API keys page and follow MCP installation.
