title: Takedown policy
description: How developers and rights holders can have an app removed, and what removal does.
---

Screenshots in Snaps belong to the developers who published them. We keep copies for reference, show them with a link to the store listing, and remove them on request.

## Who can ask

The developer of an app, or someone authorised to act for them.

## How to ask

Open the takedown request page at https://snaps.design/takedown (the “Takedown request” link in the site footer) and email the address it shows. If the page says takedown requests are not open yet, no address has been published yet. There is no automated form: a person reviews each request. Include:

- The app name and a link to at least one of its store listings.
- Who you are and your relationship to the app.
- An address we can reply to.

Removal is per app: every screen of the app goes, on every device and store. Removing only some screens of an app is not supported.

## What happens

We review requests by hand and do not promise a response time. When an app is taken down its screens are removed from the library, the MCP server and every collection at once, and its stored images are deleted. Images are served with a one-day cache lifetime: they are removed from the edge immediately when CDN purge is configured, otherwise within 24 hours, and copies already held by browsers stop being served within 24 hours. Re-requesting the app, by name, store link or store id, does not bring it back while the takedown stands, even if the app is later renamed on the store.

## What we do not do

We do not claim ownership of any screenshot, and we do not edit them. We do not read anything except public store listings.
